Young Artists Interpret our Great Rivers
This summer, 14 St. Louis youth from the city’s urban core participated in the St. Louis ArtWorks 2007 photography discipline, The Art All Around Us: Landscape and Nature Photography in The Confluence. These young people, working as apprentices to professional photographers, learned to view, explore and record our region’s greatest natural and cultural resources with the investigative eye of an artist.
Meet these young artists and view their work along with the Freedom Quilt done by Grace Hill teen mothers and artist Edna Patterson-Petty at a free reception at the Scott Joplin House State Historic Site on November 3. Photos will be on display at the Scott Joplin House from October 18 - November 25.
